If you are using a cleaner that is store bought, it is always the best option to opt for a cleaner that is especially recommended for the floors.

But just in case if you want to experiment a bit, make sure that you first try it on a little patch on the floor first so that you can be assured that you are not going to harm all of the other tiles. Here we give you some natural products that you can use to clean and have sparkling tiles in no time.

Baking Soda

It is an excellent cleaning agent when it comes to the regular cleaning of the tiles. Baking soda has a little abrasive action on the grease and dirt that easily gets rid of it. Just make a solution of 2 tablespoons of baking soda and water.

Dip the sponge and start rubbing on the tiles. Rinse with plain water and let it dry. So, without any further adieu, make your kitchen ties absolutely spick and span with the help of this magic cleaner!

Vinegar

Vinegar is the most versatile and effective when it comes to natural agents for cleaning. It has a slightly acidic nature that is inhibitive to the mold and mildew growth. It also easily removes the scum from soap and water deposits along the edges of the tiles.

You need to mix equal parts of water and vinegar first and fill it in a spray bottle. Start spraying on the tiles and let it sit for at least five minutes before you start scrubbing. For an extra strength, you can also mix a little baking soda to the mixture but only for areas that are way too greasy and dirty.

Mop it up!

Now when you have already applied the cleaning products on the tiles thoroughly, you need to start cleaning the tiles. While using store-bought cleaners make sure you follow the directions on the label.

Now work your way with the cleaning solution from side to side just like regular mopping. From time to time wring the mop out so as to avoid a wet mess on the kitchen tiles.

Rinse the tiles

After you have cleaned the area, there might still be a need to rinse it. There are a few cleaners that do not need rinsing, but others do. So just give the tiles a final rinse with plain water and let it get air dry.

Grout cleaning

Now just cleaning the tiles is not the only part of tile cleaning. The grout which is the thin area that keeps the two tiles together also needs cleaning.

You can use spray cleaners for this purpose which have to be sprayed on the grout area and left for some time, then simply wipe away with a dry cloth to remove any grime.

Here we have for you some of the natural cleaners that are effectively going to remove grease and grime from the grout:

Salt

Salt kills the microorganisms like molds and the harmful bacteria by dehydrating them. But for this trick to work you need to wet the grout area with water first so that the salt can adhere to the surface.

Just rub the area with a wet cloth and then sprinkle salt. Leave this on overnight and start scrubbing in the morning. You can use any kind of salt that is available to you including Epsom salts.

Hydrogen Peroxide

In case that all of the other methods have failed to clean up the grout and remove the stubborn molds. It is time that you purchase hydrogen peroxide; it is an amazing fungicide and also a whitening agent.

Wear gloves first and make a thick paste with white flour and hydrogen peroxide. Now apply this mixture in the grout area and wrap it with a plastic wrap. Leave it overnight so that it can work its magic. Next morning rinse with cold water and you are done.

Steam cleaning

It is one of the most effective methods for removing the dirt, soap scum, mold, and bacteria. Steam cleaners work on the principle of high pressure and heat for the cleaning. These machines don't need any kind of detergents or chemical products at all.

So this method can opt for people who have any kind of allergies. This method is perfect for grout as well as tile cleaning, but make sure not to use it on silicone joint or enamel surfaces.
